A little bit

About Me

Entrepreneur & advisor. product strategy & design. square peg.

I’m one of those people who’s tough to describe. I’ve been called a product guy, a strategist, a designer, a marketer, a creative (and a few other choice names — like “the cleaner”). I am the consummate square peg

Of late, my work has centered around A.I. and video — particularly around content search, discovery, and personalization. Overall, I have 13+ years of experience in design, technology, and communications and 9+ years of leadership/management experience across teams of varying sizes.

I’m currently a co-founder and head of product for SEER, a small video-focused startup operating in "stealth mode". I’m also an advisor to the team at Boulevard where I aid in the effort to design the first customer experience platform for appointment-based businesses.

Director of Product & Design  |  Legendary Entertainment  |  Burbank, CA

December 2016 - July 2017

I led the product strategy and design for digital efforts at Legendary Entertainment with a focus on VOD delivery platforms and emerging technologies.

Head of Product  |  Tagasauris  |  New York, NY

August 2014 - August 2016

During my time at Tagasauris, we were focused on building an A.I. platform (utilizing computer vision, NLP, machine learning, and human-assisted computation) that generates and documents metadata throughout video content. In essence, doing for video what Google did for HTML pages.

My role at Tagasauris straddled the line between Product Management and Product Design. Part of my time was spent working with our engineering and data science team to prioritize and manage development of our core technology platform, strategizing how that platform would come to life, and determining what it could do both for Tagasauris and for our Partners. The remainder of my time was spent designing interfaces and applications that would give people the opportunity to interact with video content in new and unique ways.

co-founder, CEO  |  Date Night Is...  |  New York, NY

February 2013 - January 2016

Date Night Is... an application that recommended location-specific, interest-aware date ideas for couples in established relationships. Our team self-funded Date Night Is… through multiple product iterations and grew it into an application used by couples across NYC and throughout the US.

co-creator  |  I Wanna Nom  |  New York, NY

January 2011 - January 2013

I Wanna Nom was a side-project that we designed as a "reinvention of the cookbook for the digital space." Capable of saving delicious imagery and the corresponding recipe from any website, the platform allowed users to find recipes, keep them all in one place, and share them quickly & easily. We grew I Wanna Nom to include thousands of users worldwide before Pinterest came along and ate our lunch (pun thoroughly intended).
